MyGlasses is our answer. A simple monthly subscription that bundles your eye care and your eyewear into one predictable Direct Debit — so your eyes are genuinely looked after, not just occasionally serviced.

Brand-new ZEISS lenses every 12 months — even if your prescription hasn’t changed. Because lens quality matters as much as the numbers on your prescription.

A comprehensive eye examination with OCT scan every 12 months, so we catch changes early and keep your eyes in the best possible health.

Accidental damage cover
Two-year cover included as standard. Drop them, sit on them, let your grandchild get hold of them — we’ll repair or replace them free of charge.

We’re a family-run independent opticians, established in 1946 and now in our fourth generation. Over that time we’ve watched the industry change — but we’ve always believed that proper eye care is about relationships, not transactions.

Book an appointment
Start with an eye examination at your local practice — Hexham, Ponteland or Haltwhistle.

Select from our full range of designer and independent eyewear — no limits, no upcharges on most frames.

Fresh ZEISS lenses on us every 12 months, and a full frame and lens refresh every 24. We handle the rest.

How long is the commitment?
The minimum term is 24 months — which matches the two-year replacement cycle for your frames. After the initial 24 months, the subscription continues on a rolling basis and can be cancelled at any 12-month anniversary
What happens if I cancel early?
Life happens, and we understand. Within the first 24 months you can either return your most recent glasses in reasonable condition, or keep them by paying the difference between your payments to date and the full retail price. Full details are in our terms and conditions.
Is this a finance agreement?
No — MyGlasses is a subscription, not a credit product. It’s simply a monthly Direct Debit in exchange for ongoing eye care and eyewear. There’s no credit check required and your credit rating isn’t affected by joining.
